You may feel things were not done as properly as they should have been done. The word decency in this scripture doesn't actually speak about the way things are done as much as an attitude of the heart. The Greek word for it means something done honestly and with the right intentions. When Paul was teaching about the way a group of Christians should conduct themselves when they meet together to worship, he wasn't implying they shouldn't be free to boldly express their devotion and worship to the Lord. He was saying what really matters to God is that their expression of worship must be a sincere reflection of their devotion to Him. So...

COME TO THE PARTY Text: Luke 14: 17-35. God sends invitation to all men. But, just like it is stated here – even now – men all over the world – are making excuses. They are running after mundane things – going after things that are perishable. They cannot see beyond themselves. They are instead clinging to emptiness. Excuses – Excuses – Flimsy Excuses. God’s invitation is without conditions (No qualification is needed). Rich or poor, black or white. It doesn’t matter, lame, blind, sick or healthy. All are welcomed to the party. A few days to the scheduled date, everywhere was filled with scaffold. Some people went to tell my wife that the dedication would not hold because we were still building.
