COME TO THE PARTY

Text: Luke 14: 17-35.

God sends invitation to all men. But, just like it is stated here – even now – men all over the world – are making excuses. They are running after mundane things – going after things that are perishable. They cannot see beyond themselves. They are instead clinging to emptiness.

Excuses – Excuses – Flimsy Excuses. God’s invitation is without conditions

(No qualification is needed). Rich or poor, black or white. It doesn’t matter, lame, blind, sick or healthy. All are welcomed to the party.

God wants His kingdom to be filled with all that accept His invitation – those who rejects His invitation do so at their own peril.

ANYONE THAT REJECTS HIS INVITATION HAS NO PART/PORTION IN HIM. THEY ARE DOOMED.  John 1:12-13

John3:16 – 18

Jesus Christ is God’s invitation card. It is available to all mankind. This is the sole reason why the earth is still existing, because only God knows when all Creation/Nations will have heard the gospel. i.e will have been presented with the invitation card. As many as will believe and honour the invitation by accepting to come – they are the one that shall qualify to be called Sons of God (children of God).

HEAVEN IS THE PLACE WHERE ALL OF GOD’S CHILDREN SHALL GATHER TO HAVE A PARTY WITH HIM (GOD). John14:1-6.

There, He will give all of His children gifts (Reward) for their good deeds on earth. God is a Father. Everyone will have His invitation card extend to him while on earth. The choice to go to heaven will be made here on earth.

The gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ is the means by which God is sending out His invitation to all creations/nations. Matthew 24:14.

Those who hear the gospel and believe it, by accepting the Lordship of Jesus Christ into their lives by believing in their heart and confessing with their mouth, they shall be saved from damnation. They shall partake in the party. Romans 10:9 – 10.

 

NOBODY ENTERS HEAVEN WITHOUT ACCEPTING JESUS AS THEIR MESSIAH. HEAVEN IS THE KINGDOM OF HIS DEAR SON.

 COLOSSIANS 1:12 – 13, John 14:6.

Numbers 23:19 – God cannot lie.

Jesus confirms what His father has been saying through this word that He spoke in John 14:1 – 4, 6.

He confirms that indeed there is a place called Heaven – the venue of the great party with the father. He also confirms that, no one can get there, except through him (Jesus Christ)

God the father collaborated the words of Jesus again by saying, anyone that rejects the testimony of Jesus Christ (has no part with Him (God).

1 John 5:9 – 12, 1 John 2:22 – 23.

Zaccheus, the tax collector, was true to himself. He came to the realization that all the things he had acquired were not going to help or save him. He needed something more. He was influential in the society, rich, yet he laid aside his reputation and what anyone will think about him. He humbled himself and ran to encounter Him. He climb a tree to have a glimpse of him. He went after eternity. No matter what you are or have, NO JESUS, NO ETERNITY. Think about it. John 10:9.
